This one is in the plaza, just behind Chick-fil-a, and isn't the China Ocean Super Buffet nearer to Target nor the China Super Buffet over on Airport.
I was really disappointed in this one. The hostess never smiled and was not friendly at all. In fact, she seemed mad that she had to be there.
It was also hot in the building. It felt to be about 85° in there and I'm not exaggerating. It was way too warm for a restaurant.
The food wasn't good either. I was really excited about the grill, but there were bugs crawling all over the raw food. They weren't gnats nor ants. I don't know what they were but it scared the crap out of me. Also due to the heat in the building, the raw food was warmer than room temperature. I don't know, but even if there weren't bugs I wouldn't trust that shrimp sitting out like that.
I tried a lot of things. I've learned to not eat noodles, rice or bread when eating at a buffet. It allows room for a larger number of food varieties than if I had eaten those.
I'm a Pepper Steak lover and this one was not good. It lacked flavor. It's as though the sauce was watered down. Speaking of watered down sauce, so was the sweet and sour sauce. It didn't taste right and also lacked flavor. The egg rolls were mushy on the inside so the cabbage was obviously overcooked.
All that said, there were three things that were pretty good: the Crab Rangoon, the Teriyaki Chicken and the Pork Dumpling. Those weren't bad at all. In fact, I got another helping of the Teriyaki Chicken.
Our dinner was $11 each (+ drinks) and I really felt like it was more than it was worth. I'm sorry to say this, but it's doubtful that we'll go back.
